My name is Jules! I use they/them pronouns. I'm a queer nerd nearing my 30s,
and I'm trying to carve out a space for myself on the internet! I'm lots of things,
and a whole lot of person. It's difficult to describe myself in one little blurb,
but I think the best way I can put it is that I'm a fun mess.
Several reasons, but I'll boil them down as best I can.
1. I want to! Been wanting to make a website for ages,and a project
with my lovely fiance inspired me to actually start learning code in my spare time.
I want my own little place on the world wide web.
2. I hate the way the mainstream internet is going, honestly. I want a place
that I can post about the things I like and my gender journey without
feeling like I have to watch what I say. A place for me!
3. I want to find new ways to share my various interesting in a way that
is unhinged. I want to feel like I can go nuts with formatting, style,
and put anything I want here without censorship or concern.
No. Absolutely not. There's lots of reasons for that, both environmental
and moral, but my number 1 reason is that I can't trust it with my ideas.
I also don't think it's an effective tool for learning how coding works.
This is a decidedly anti-AI space. Until we figure out how to
give it the consciousness of an actual human person who can make decisions
without worrying about the hallucinations or AI psychosis, let me know.
THEN I will give it a try.
Everything from interests, to dev logs, maybe even a journal.
I'm a person with a lot of interests and a frequently changing life,
so I'll probably have a lot of little pages as opposed to one big page.
I also want to include interactive things on my website, such as a hit counter,
an audio player, etc. I'm excited to get started!
